REGISTRATION is OPEN with a "hybrid" format so that you may attend in-person or virtually. In-person location is St. Edward's University, 3001 S. Congress in John Brooks-Williams (JBW) Science Bldg. "South", room 165; a different building from previous seminars at St. Ed's.

~9:00-9:50am "From Classroom to Courtroom" by Sarah Manion, MSDAIS, TXST - This session is about student innovation in audio and text evidence analytics with descriptions of how the students uncover hidden patterns, coded language, and intentionally misleading phrasing in criminal communications. Their system goes far beyond the traditional use of simple keywords.
~10:00-10:50am "Update: AICPA Task Force on AI & Forensics" by Chandu Chilakapati, partner and Global Head of Valuation and Investigations at Aprio - Learn about recent and planned activities of this special task force in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Forensics.
~11:00-11:50am "Art & Science of Investigating Healthcare Fraud" by Jala Attia, CFE, AHFI, CHC The focus of this session is the dual nature of healthcare fraud investigations, requiring rigorous data-driven techniques with nuanced judgment and creativity to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse in the healthcare sector.

~1:30-4:30pm "Red Collar Crime" by Frank Perri, JD, CPA, CFE Explore the intersection between fraud and violence and how fraud detection can trigger violent responses from fraud offenders. The speaker coined the term "Red Collar Crime" and has given presentations and written extensively on this topic.
